The Padded Cell

The show "Bones" is a big piece of crap.

Mainly it's a piece of crap because the one female character who does CG reconstructions of whatever they happen to be doing is able to create anything needed on demand. We're talking 3d schematics, animations, and who knows what else in just a few seconds.

So basically this woman would have to be a psychic who can anticipate any question being asked by the other investigators and have a ready-made animation or schematic all ready to go.

In reality, one would have to accurately phrase the question, the animator would have to storyboard what they believe to be the proper series of panels, then run them by the questioner (that alone would probably take a couple days). Then, once any remaining questions had been resolved, the animator would start setting up the animation scenes to be used, the props, the models. Which objects are stationary, which ones are movable, which ones are hard bodies, which are soft bodies, which ones are particle emitters, and the properties of the particles, setting up the scale of the models, clothing, hair, etc, etc...

Such things can take months, weeks at the least. The show, in this respect is a complete pile of doo-doo!
