While perusing the Web for crop circle stupidity, spurred by a repeat of a History Channel show from 2001 on the subject, I stumbled upon a site presumptuously called "Genius Forums".

On said forum I found a thread where (presumably) geniuses were discussing Crop Circles. Indeed the discussion was about crop circles, but I saw precious little genius involved.

Apparently there are still people out there who think ANY of the crop circles are something other than human creations.

10 seconds of google searching finds this page, which pretty much debunks any of the "cerealogist" claims of radiation effects, strange plant nodes, etc, ad nauseum.

I'm not sure what one is supposed to take away from the Jack Links jerky ads. You know, the ones where people out in the woods do assinine things to Sasquatch.

What I take away from the ads is: "Buy our products and be an asshole, and see imaginary creatures."

I highly recommend reading through the whole thing.

The author, in other posts, tells us that a discredited Hockey Stick does not disprove Anthropogenic Global Warming, and that's true. What is does is show how a major piece of data purportedly showing unprecedented 20th century temperature rise is actually a piece of statistical nonsense.

Even the new Hockey Stick is no better. It uses essentially the same cherry-picked and distorted data as the original.

What's even more interesting is that research which supposedly vinidicated the HS are just re-iterations of the same data, and not independent reconstructions as implied. There is a lot of fraud going on here, but no one in charge seems to want to say it. It also amazes me that anyone who can call themself a scientist actually defends these practices.

Yes folks! You heard it right! National Geographic, or Nat Geo, which they like to call themselves now, has a show about a new human species which existed in pre-history, and mingled with Homo Sapiens/Cro-Magnon.

This new species is called "Neandrethal", which is eerily similar to the familiar "Neanderthal", just a subtle difference in spelling, and presumably in genetic makeup.

You mean they put out an advertisement in which the voiceover announcer mis-pronounced "Neanderthal" every time he said it??? NO ONE in the prodction process had the brains, or the balls, to say "Hey, wait a minute, he's not pronouncing that properly." Or more likely they just didn't care. Maybe they didn't want to hurt the guy's feelings, I don't know. I wonder if he can pronounce "nuclear", or "peripheral".

The post at the link above is just one of many dealing with the horrendous condition of a great many of the official USHCN temperature measuring stations. The "scientists" and activists who would have you believe humans are causing global warming rely on data from these stations to preach their alarmism.

The real kicker is, they don't seem to care they're using useless data! This is simply astounding. Really, I'm at a loss for the proper words, though the term fraud does come to mind. Or perhaps it's just gross negligence. I'd vote for both. The REAL fraud comes from NASA and the Hockey Team, you know, those "scientists" who came up with and support the "hockey stick" temperature reconstruction showing a fairly flat global temperature for the last 1000 years, with a sharp increase during the last 100 or so years. This "hockey stick" has played prominently in the IPCC reports since the very first. My next post will outline the fraud that is the "hockey stick".

In the meantime, write your congressmen and make them aware of this fraud being perpetrated upon the world. They might be democrats or republicans, but that shouldn't matter, you need to make them listen.
